Montreal police keep lid on NHL playoff win celebrations
There was no repeat of Monday’s mayhem as a large contingent of police kept watch over celebrating Habs fans in downtown Montreal on Thursday night.
Several people were arrested for minor offences, but police declared the night a success.
“Everything was just under control and everything was great,” Montreal police spokesman Yannick Ouimet told CBC News.
